Concussions: $6.5M to better understand the impact at all stages of life

Our director Miriam Beauchamp (CHU Sainte-Justine and University of Montreal) and co-principal researcher Louis de Beaumont (Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal) obtained a 6,5 M$ funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) to develop the LIFESPAN project on concussions.

This project will:

  • Collect real-time data on individuals at risk of concussion.
  • Improve multidisciplinary care for injured individuals.
  • Harmonize data across all age groups to support concussion treatments.

“The strength of our team is that we will focus just as much on very young children as adults and seniors,” emphasizes Miriam Beauchamp.
